Left kidney shows mild hydronephrosis due to 17.5 mm calculus in upper ureter. This is my report. Doctor says to do laser operation quickly to pass the stone as the other kidney may get damaged because it swells up due to the stone.

I have two kidney stones. My ultrasound scan shows a 10.3 mm stone in the right kidney and a 6.3 mm stone in the left kidney. The scan also notes mildly increased renal parenchymal echogenicity, suggesting medical renal disease, with bilateral non obstructing calculi. My urine and blood tests show a creatinine level of 1.65 mg/dL, urea of 31.9 mg/dL, blood urea nitrogen of 14.9 mg/dL, and protein 1. I would like to understand what this means for my kidney health and what steps I should take next.
