  1. Yes, urine can flow back into the kidneys, a condition known as vesicoureteral reflux (VUR). This occurs when urine flows backward from the bladder toward the kidneys.

  2. Why it matters: This can increase the risk of kidney infections and damage if not managed properly.

  3. Causes: It may result from a malfunction of the valves between the bladder and ureters or other urinary tract abnormalities.

  4. Symptoms: Often asymptomatic, but can cause frequent urinary tract infections, fever, or pain.

  5. Diagnosis and treatment: Diagnosed with imaging tests like an ultrasound or VCUG. Treatment ranges from monitoring to antibiotics or surgery, depending on severity.

If you have concerns about urinary symptoms or infections, consult a healthcare provider for evaluation and care.

I'm 26 and my wife is 24. We recently got married and when we tried to have intercourse, I couldn't enter her properly. It feels like my penis bends and slips out, and her vagina seems really tight. Is this an issue with me, or is there something else going on? What should we do?

Its common for newlyweds to face such challenges, often due to anxiety or unfamiliarity. A tight vagina can be due to stress or insufficient arousal. Focus on relaxation, extended foreplay, and communication to help ease the process. If the issue persists, consider consulting a gynecologist or a counselor for guidance.

I've been feeling a burning sensation right after peeing for the past week, and the tip of my penis has been itching. I also have itching in my underarms, between my thighs, and around my scrotum could this be a fungal or bacterial infection spreading from one area to another? I've been using soap and powder to manage it, but the itching at the tip won't go away. Also, I have a tight foreskin (phimosis) and noticed a red, curved line from my shaft to the head when I pulled it back. I'm really nervous about surgery and talking to my parents what can I do to stop the itching and manage the tight foreskin? Are there stretching exercises that could help?

Urethritis Bacteria or viruses usually cause the condition. Urethritis causes burning during urination, and it can also be painful to ejaculate. The condition might also cause : itchiness and stinging in the urethra.
