A few months ago, I experienced hematospermia, which stopped on its own. I underwent semen culture and analysis, tests for STDs, urine examination, and a TRUS scan, but all results were normal. Recently, I have started noticing hematospermia again. Could you please advise the steps to determine the exact cause and let me know if this is something to be concerned about?

Hematospermia is often harmless, especially if basic tests like semen analysis, STD screen, urine test, and TRUS are all normal. Recurrence may happen due to mild prostate inflammation or broken blood vessels. It usually settles without treatment. Avoid triggers like alcohol and prolonged sitting. If the issue keeps coming back, a Pelvic MRI or PSA blood test may help rule out any rare causes. You may also repeat TRUS after a few weeks if symptoms return.
