He has ALT 66.30 IU/L, AST 54.80 IU/L, GGT 75.00 IU/L. What does it mean? Is it a chronic condition? Note: He drank alcohol the night before he got the biochemistry test.

Mildly elevated liver enzymes (ALT, AST, GGT) can occur temporarily, especially if alcohol was consumed the night before the test. These levels suggest liver irritation but do not confirm chronic liver disease by themselves. It is best to avoid alcohol and repeat the liver function test after 2 to 3 weeks to check if levels return to normal. If they remain high, consult a doctor for further evaluation.

View allSir, my direct bilirubin is high and I have occasional right rib cage pain and yellow stool. I have tested LFT and in that report direct bilirubin is high, GGT and ALP are normal, and AST and ALT are slightly high. What can this be? Is it bile acid synthesis disorder where direct bilirubin is high with normal GGT and ALP? I am attaching all my reports including fibroscan which shows 8.12 kPa.

Sir, I have epigastric and burning pain in my epigastric region and also in back with bloating. There is always pain and burning in the abdomen. I have taken a lot of medicine but not permanent relief. I am sharing my report that says cholecystitis. Will my gall bladder be removed? I also have grade one fatty liver and some enzymes are a little high like amylase and lipase. Amylase is always under 120 but lipase a little high, first time 64. What happened with me? Is this pancreatitis or cholecystitis? Please help. What will happen in this matter?

My ALT (SGPT) level is 131 in my lab report. Can you please suggest possible reasons for this and what should be done?
