Hello doctor, I am nineteen weeks pregnant. My rubella IgG test was 1.93 positive during my first trimester. But on my anomaly scan some type of infection is seen. So my doctor advised me for rubella IgG avidity test. What is the purpose of this avidity test if already my rubella IgG is done and my report is positive? Are there any chances of rubella infection again after a positive rubella report? Will this have any problem in my child?

Avidity test checks if infection is old or recent. IgG positive alone doesnt confirm timing. A high avidity means past infection and less fetal risk.

I am anxious as my blood tests show these infections. Should I continue with the pregnancy? This is my second pregnancy and my first child is a 4 years old.

My pregnancy is 8 weeks and 2 days today and my early pregnancy scan shows everything is fine with a bpm of 173 and a CRL of 16 mm. However, my TORCH test report showed Rubella IgM 1.65 and IgG 0.30. I have had no fever, rash, or symptoms. The doctor suggested this test because at 6 weeks of pregnancy the fetal bpm was 107, but in today scan it is 173. Is rubella a cause of concern? Please suggest.

My TORCH test report is Rubella IgG antibodies 51 IU per ml, Rubella IgM 0.22 index, and CMV IgG 31 AU per ml. What does it mean? I am worried about it.
