Hello doctor. I have hypothyroidism for the last 4 years. Currently, I am on Thyronorm 50. My thyroid profile is normal, and TSH is 2.1. Since June, I have been feeling occasional ectopic beats. I get a funny sensation in my chest followed by a hard beat, which then goes away. Is this due to my thyroid condition? This causes anxiety, which seems to trigger even more ectopic beats. Please help.

Your thyroid is well controlled (TSH 2.1) and is unlikely the cause of ectopic beats. Occasional ectopic beats are common and can increase with anxiety, caffeine, dehydration, or lack of sleep. Practice deep breathing and hydration, and limit tea/coffee to help reduce them. If palpitations become frequent, prolonged, or are associated with dizziness or chest pain, consult your doctor. You can book an ECG and Electrolytes test to check heart rhythm and rule out imbalances.

Hi doctor, I am Anusha, age 32. After delivery I got thyroid and now I am using thyroid 100 dosage. After three months of using thyroid 100 dosage, today my thyroid report is attached below. Please check and suggest whether my report is normal or not. Should I continue with the same dosage or decrease the dosage of the thyroid tablet? Thank you.

I have had a thyroid problem for the last 13 years and take Eltroxin, adjusting the dose according to my test results. I usually take 50 mg, but when my TSH level increased to 100, I increased the dose to 200 mg. Currently, my TSH is 0.025 and T4 is 33. Please advise what I should do.
