Hello, I have purchased a health policy and the policy issuer has raised concerns over the medical tests conducted from their end. My father HbA1c test has come out marginally increased at 6.2 in his blood report. Because of this, the issuer is not willing to provide the policy to my father. At present, my father is not taking any medicines and this matter is troubling me.

HbA1c of 6.2 percent indicates prediabetes. It is manageable with diet/exercise. Suggest repeating HbA1c for confirmation. Please take an HbA1c test to validate.

My reading for a non fasting glucose test is 145. The normal range is 70 to 140. Is this okay, or do I need to change my lifestyle and diet for a healthy, diabetes free life?
