The amount of HbA1c formed is directly related to the amount of glucose in your blood. Red blood cells live for an average of 120 days, so HbA1c gives an indication of how much sugar there has been in your blood over the past few months.

My test report in March/April showed HbA1C 9.0, and my current report shows HbA1C 4.6. I used to take insulin, but since September I have been taking tablets as prescribed: Glyciphage SR 500 twice daily before meals and Voglitor MD 0.3. My current FBS is 92 and PPBS is 128. Kindly let me know what I should do?
