Question
Hello, I just had my routine annual blood work completed. My bilirubin was 1.1. Although the lab report states it is in the normal range, being 0.1 above normal concerns me. I have hypertension and take the generic form of Norvasc 5 mg and a low dose aspirin. I am very active, 38 years old, and work out 5 to 6 days a week with lifting, running, or biking. I have a healthy diet and partake in some social adult beverages. Should I have any concerns? All other numbers came out in the middle ranges.

Bilirubin of 1.1 is within normal. No concern if liver enzymes are normal and no symptoms like jaundice. Mild elevations can be benign (Gilberts syndrome).
