Question
Hi I am 31 years old and have been suffering from muscle pain especially in the buttocks and thigh area for the past three years. I have visited a general physician as well as an orthopedic specialist and they considered deficiency of vitamin B12 and D3 but my latest blood report shows both are in the normal range. The orthopedic surgeon advised physiotherapy sessions to reduce tightening of the hamstring muscle but even after this there is no improvement. Could you please suggest what may cause this type of muscle pain and what type of doctor I should visit to explore other possibilities. Please suggest?

Chronic muscle pain despite normal vitamin levels and physiotherapy might need further evaluation. Consider seeing a neurologist or rheumatologist to rule out nerve involvement, fibromyalgia, or autoimmune related muscle conditions. Meanwhile, expose yourself to early morning sunlight.
