Hi, I recently had lab tests for cholesterol, and the results show high LDL, HbA1c, lipoprotein (36.09), and serum globulin (34.42). I have attached a screenshot of the report. Could you please advise which specialist I should consult for proper evaluation and treatment?

High LDL cholesterol and lipoprotein levels indicate a need for cholesterol management to protect heart health. A raised HbA1c suggests high blood sugar levels, requiring diabetes evaluation and control. Elevated serum globulin may need further evaluation but can be related to infections or inflammation. You should consult a physician or an endocrinologist for diabetes management and a physician or cardiologist for cholesterol management. Lifestyle changes with diet and exercise will help along with treatment.

Take a FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar )Test Test or Take a Lipid Profile Test Test

View allAttached is my report. I am very paranoid after seeing all news and I have a desk job plus PCOD. I tend to be inconsistent with workout and have anxiety due to PCOD. I stress eat at times. I do not smoke and rarely drink alcohol. I keep having thoughts that I might get a heart attack which creates anxiety because I feel I am not doing anything and this can happen as I respect fitness a lot. Now my LDL is the highest. Is it too late? I have now started walking daily and eating good food. What more can I do to not feel these thoughts? Are any further tests needed as per my reports? I sometimes feel chest tightness due to anxiety or is it in my mind? I am overweight by at least 15 kgs, my weight is 75 kgs and my height is 5.3. Do I need to take any medicines for cholesterol? Please tell me.

I recently underwent a lipid profile test, and my bad cholesterol (LDL) count was quite high. Which specialist should I consult for evaluation and treatment? I have attached my test report for your reference.

I am a 39 year old teacher working in a school. My lipid profile test results are: triglycerides 194, total cholesterol 209, LDL cholesterol 131, HDL cholesterol 39, VLDL 39, total cholesterol/HDL cholesterol ratio 5.36, and LDL cholesterol/HDL cholesterol ratio 3.36. Are my lipid profile test results normal or abnormal? If they are abnormal, what precautions should I take? Do I need to change my diet and avoid oily foods? Please suggest. Thank you. Regards, Minhaj
