Hi, my blood report says predominantly normocytic normochromic with macrocytes and ovalocytes. What does it mean and what could be the cause? What is its effect and how can it be rectified?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
This pattern suggests mostly normal red blood cells with some larger and oval ones. Causes may include early vitamin B12 or folate deficiency, alcohol use, or liver disease. Treatment depends on the cause.

View allHi, I am experiencing numbness in the last two fingers of my right hand, mostly in the mornings when I wake up. I am not diabetic (post meal sugar: 133). Previously, I had significant drooping of my right eyelid, which was evaluated by neurologists and an ophthalmologist, and nerve tests were normal, only vitamin deficiencies were found. After taking vitamins, my eyelid improved. However, now this intermittent numbness in my fingers every alternate morning is worrying me. Could this indicate a serious condition that I need to be alert about? Please advise. Thank you in advance.

My report shows Vitamin B12 level at 169 and Vitamin D3 level at 14. I have been experiencing symptoms like inflammation around the anus and general body discomfort. I started treatment with five doses of Eldervit 12 injection and two doses of Arachitol 6L. Although the symptoms improved, some of them have returned. I am also taking Caldikind Plus one tablet daily, Neurobion two tablets daily, and Uprise D3 once a week. I would like to know how many more doses I should take and when I can expect complete relief from all symptoms.
