Hi, My thyroid test shows a TSH level of 4.52 microIU/mL, and it is marked as high in my report. Does this require medication, or is it something that can be monitored?

TSH is borderline high. If you have symptoms or trying to conceive, treatment may be started. Check T3, T4.

I experienced heavy menstruation for two consecutive months, and my blood test showed that my TSH level was elevated to 7.2 microIU/mL. Following a friend medical advice, I have started taking Thyroxine Sodium 25 mcg tablets. Will this treatment help normalize my next menstrual cycle, or will I also need hormonal therapy? I am concerned about the possible side effects of hormonal treatment, such as weight gain. Please advise the best approach. I am attaching my reports for your review.
