How to confirm that my wife is pregnant and what are the tests involved in finding out the result?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Use a urine pregnancy test at home or a lab. A blood test called beta hCG confirms pregnancy early. An ultrasound can then track the baby growth. Do consult an obstetrician.

I had my period for six days. On the 9th day after my period, we had protected intercourse, but due to some confusion, I took an ipill within 48 hours. I experienced a small amount of brown discharge with some clots and abdominal pain, for which I used a sanitary napkin. I took a urine pregnancy test after the brown discharge, and it was negative. Could I still be pregnant?

I have irregular periods, usually with a cycle of 40 days. My last period was on July 31st. I got married on August 14th, and our first intercourse was on August 17th. My doctor prescribed Regestrone for 5 days (3 tablets per day). What are the chances of pregnancy, as we have started trying for children and are not using any contraceptives?
