Question

I accidentally swallowed a housefly the other day and my friend told me that it could lay eggs inside my body. I'm really worried about this. Is there a chance that something bad could happen? Can you help me understand if I should be concerned or not?

Accidentally swallowing a housefly is unlikely to cause any harm. The acids in your stomach will most likely break down the fly. There is no need to worry about the fly laying eggs in your body. Just drink plenty of water to help flush it out of your system. If you experience any unusual symptoms, please consult a doctor.
