I am 53 years old and have been experiencing fever (99 to 104F) for the past week. My recent blood report shows: WBC: 171,770 cells/cmm Hemoglobin: 9.1 g/dL RBC: 2.60 million/cmm Blasts: 60% I am also experiencing gum swelling and bleeding. Please advise what could be the reason for the increased WBC count, and which specialist should I consult for further evaluation.

My platelet distribution width PDW is 8.9 FL as per my blood report which is below the normal range. My platelet to large cell ratio PLCR is low at 14.8 percent. Is this a cause for worry and should I consult a doctor?
