I am feeling very sleepy, weak, and experiencing excessive hair fall. I thought these might be symptoms of a thyroid problem, but my test report shows a level of 3.01. The lab mentioned a thyroid disorder. Do I have a thyroid problem?

A TSH of 3.01 mIU/L is within the normal range (typically 0.4 to 4.5). If youre feeling very sleepy, weak, and have hair fall, consider checking vitamin B12, D3, iron, and cortisol. Thyroid does not seem the cause here.

I am 38 years old, weigh 76 kg, and am 5.9 inch tall. I take 25 mcg Thyronorm for mildly elevated thyroid levels, a dosage that was initially suggested during my pregnancy in 2016 to maintain TSH around 3 to 4. About 8 months ago, my TSH rose slightly above the range (5.4), and I continued the same dosage. I recently learned about the health benefits of basil seeds and have started consuming 2 teaspoons of soaked basil seeds in lemon water daily. However, I read that people with thyroid issues should consult their doctor before taking them. I also have high cholesterol. Could you please advise whether it is safe for me to continue taking basil seeds daily?
