I am a female, 5 ft tall and 52 kg. I am suffering from knee pain, waist pain, and pain in several joints. I also have difficulty standing for long periods and cannot do heavy work with my hands. I experienced heavy menstruation for two consecutive months, and my blood test showed that my TSH level was elevated to 7.2 microIU/mL. Following a friend medical advice, I have started taking Thyroxine Sodium 25 mcg tablets. Will this treatment help normalize my next menstrual cycle, or will I also need hormonal therapy?
