I got a full body checkup and need an opinion on the rheumatoid factor normal range value. My report mentioned: Rheumatoid Factor Quantitative less than 20.0 IU/mL, less than 30 Normal, 30 to 50 Weakly positive, greater than 50 Reactive. Is this normal? Some sites say that up to 14 IU/mL is normal and more than 14 is high. Please advise.

Your report shows Rheumatoid Factor (RF) less than 20 IU/mL, and the lab reference range says less than 30 is normal, so your result is within normal limits. Different labs may use different cut-off values (e.g., 14 vs. 30), which is why ranges vary across websites. A normal RF doesnt rule out joint issues, so if symptoms persist, follow up with anti CCP test and clinical evaluation.
Dr. Rohinipriyanka Suggests...
Take a Anti CCP Test (Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide) Test or Take a ESR Test (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) Test

In my blood report, RA factor is 42 and I have knee pains. Whom should I contact and how should I proceed?
Answered by Apollo Doctors
I have had stiffness and pain in my knees, shoulders, thumbs, and wrists since childhood. I have consulted more than 10 doctors including Ayurvedic, general physician, orthopedic, and rheumatologist, and all my blood reports are normal. No one in my family has arthritis. Some doctors say it is a mental problem and not physical, and that I do not have any type of arthritis. But I cannot play cricket because I cannot throw the ball due to pain and stiffness. I also cannot run or bat. The problem is increasing with age. Will I have to live with this for the rest of my life or is there any treatment for it?
