I had a fever last week (not continuous) along with a slight, constant headache for 3 to 4 days. After the fever broke, I did a blood test at a private clinic the next day. The Widal test report showed 1/160 Typhi O positive. The doctor prescribed Rabasec D SR, Cefixime, and Ofloxacin for 10 days, saying it was a slight case of typhoid. Is this treatment appropriate?

Widal test is not very reliable. If fever and symptoms matched, starting antibiotics was reasonable. A Typhidot IgM/IgG is more specific. Take the test to confirm typhoid diagnosis.

My Widal report shows S. Paratyphi A from 1/20 to 1/160 are all positive, S. Typhi H and O are positive at 1/20, and S. Paratyphi B is negative. All other sections are negative. Do I have typhoid disease? What should I do regarding this? Is it in a lethal or dangerous condition or is there no need to be anxious?

My mother has been having fever for the past 33 days. When she takes medication, the fever temporarily goes away, but it returns after some time. She also has diabetes and thyroid issues and is experiencing significant body pain. Her recent test report indicates typhoid fever. How can we effectively treat this, and are there any further tests we should consider?
