My mother has been having fever for the past 33 days. When she takes medication, the fever temporarily goes away, but it returns after some time. She also has diabetes and thyroid issues and is experiencing significant body pain. Her recent test report indicates typhoid fever. How can we effectively treat this, and are there any further tests we should consider?

Recurrent fever needs thorough evaluation. Typhoid may require prolonged antibiotics, but persistent symptoms can suggest reinfection or another cause. Please consult your doctor for a detailed plan and further tests. Repeat typhoid test and perform blood culture, CBC & and CRP to evaluate any underlying infection.
Dr. Siri Suggests...
Take a TYPHIDOT IgG AND IgM Test or Take a C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (CRP) - QUANTITATIVE Test
