I had sexual contact with an HIV positive woman. I took an HIV RNA PCR test 28 days after exposure, and the result was not detected. However, I am experiencing symptoms such as rashes, joint pain, fever, and bumps on my tongue.

A negative HIV RNA PCR after 28 days is a good sign, but confirmatory HIV antibody/antigen test at 3 months is necessary. Consult a doctor for further evaluation.

Do I need to undergo any further HIV testing, or are these results conclusive?

Hello Doctor, I had sex with a sex worker 35 days ago. I have had symptoms for the past month, such as nail discoloration, throat dryness for three weeks, cold, constant sneezing, and penis burning sensation. Is it HIV? I tested with an antibody test today, after 5 weeks of exposure, and it was non-reactive. Please advise how accurate the antibody test is after 5 weeks?
