I had viral fever 3 days ago. My initial blood report showed CRP level at 24 mg/L. I received a high dosage of antibiotics through IV for the last 3 days. I repeated the CRP test and it came at 25.5. I am very concerned why the CRP level is still high. Can this be a cause of something serious?

Persistent high CRP suggests ongoing inflammation. Could be secondary bacterial infection. Please repeat CRP and Procalcitonin. Take the test immediately.

Dr. Shaik Suggests...

Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test or Take a PCT (Procalcitonin) Blood Test Test
