Question
I have attached my blood report. The report includes the remark, Alert, Predominantly normocytic normochromic with ovalocytes. Platelets appear adequate in smear. I also have a family history of thyroid issues and am currently taking medication for it. Could you please explain what these findings mean and if there is any cause for concern?

This usually indicates mild anemia. Ovalocytes may be seen in nutritional deficiencies. Iron, B12 levels should be checked.
