I have been experiencing a cold for the last five years, and my doctor advised that I may need to manage it long term. My recent blood tests show Hb 13.8 gm, TLC 16,100/cu mm, Neutrophils 87, Lymphocytes 10, Eosinophils 1, Basophils 0, and ESR 25 mm in the first hour. My biochemistry report shows SGPT/ALT 62.6 U/L and SGOT/AST 71.2 U/L. The doctor has recommended a work up for eosinophilia. Could you please review these results and advise on the next steps?

Raised TLC (16,100) and mildly high LFTs may suggest chronic low grade infection or allergy. Eosinophil is low, ruling out allergic cause. Evaluate sinuses and liver function. Avoid cold triggers.

My test report shows that the scope passed till D2. D1 shows duodenitis, D2 is normal. The stomach shows antral gastritis with a normal body and fundus. The GE junction is at 35 cm with a hiatus hernia. The esophagus shows esophagitis. The impression is antral gastritis and duodenitis with hiatus hernia.
