I have been experiencing regular abdominal pain on both sides. I got a blood test, and my results are as follows: SGOT: 60.9 U/L SGPT: 88.3 U/L Alkaline phosphatase: 179.6 U/L GGT: 187.7 U/L Should I be worried about these results? Do they indicate any serious condition?

LFT values are elevated, possible fatty liver or hepatitis. Avoid alcohol and fatty foods. See a doctor for evaluation.
Dr. Siri Suggests...
Take a ACUTE HEPATITIS VIRUS EVALUATION I (HCV TOTAL ANTIBODIES, HEV IgM , HBsAg, HAV IgM , HBc IgM ) Test

View allI had my gall bladder removed 6 weeks ago laparoscopically. I am taking a low fat diet and have had no problems till now. My report shows fatty changes in my liver and it is enlarged to 16.4 cm. My surgeon did not mention anything about it. I want to know the extent of this problem and whether it is worrisome. I want to know how to take care of my liver to reverse fatty changes, including foods to eat or avoid. Should I take any liver tonic? If yes, please recommend some. I am not taking any medicine currently. Lastly, can I take alcohol now in moderate quantity and occasionally. I am 23 years old, male, 5.10, 87 kg, with no diabetes or high blood pressure.
