I have full joint pain in my elbows, knees, shoulders, and other joints. At night, I am not able to sleep due to the pain. I feel very tired and sometimes have fever. My RA test report is positive. I also have a thyroid TSH level of 7.54.

Symptoms suggest rheumatoid arthritis and hypothyroidism. See rheumatologist and endocrinologist. Treatment can help manage both.

Dr. Bhanu Suggests...

Take a Anti CCP Test (Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide) Test or Take a ANTI THYROID ANTIBODIES Test

My name is Jagadeesh, and I am a mariner. My height is 179 cm, and my current weight is 90 kg, which I believe is overweight for my height. I had a blood test yesterday, and everything was normal except for my free T3 level. My thyroid test results are: TSH: 2.33 microIU/mL, Free T4: 1.33 ng/mL, and Free T3: 8.4 pg/mL. Is this level abnormal? Does it mean I have hyperthyroidism? I read on the internet that it is not curable and requires lifelong medication. Is my result serious? I also experience hand pain and sensitivity to cold climates, but I feel fine in sunny weather. I am worried about my T3 levels.

My hypothyroidism has been detected since last 6 years and I have been taking 75 mcg fixed dose of Thyronorm tablet with regular blood tests and check ups. Thankfully I have been able to maintain my TSH level in normal range for many years. But yesterday I got my report and my TSH level is 6.26 uIU per ml. I have been taking regular medicines. Is there anything to worry? What can I do to prevent TSH from increasing?
