I received my CBC report today, and my blood platelets have increased from 100,000 to 135,000 in three days. I do not have fever, and I am eating and drinking well. The only issue is that I feel chills. Could this chill be due to low platelets? Despite this, I am performing 3 rounds of push ups (15 each) with 30 second rest. Please advise if the chills are related to platelet count.

Chills are not typically due to low platelets at this level. Recovery in platelets is good. Monitor symptoms, stay hydrated, and continue light exercise if tolerated.

View allMy father is suffering from low platelet count. Every time his test report shows between 45,000 to 15,000 per microliter. He was admitted to the hospital for a week, and the last day report showed 95,000 per microliter. Now the doctor has recommended a bone marrow test. Our whole family is worried. Please suggest. I am from Kanpur, UP.

My 5 years 4 months old daughter, weighing 19 kg, has been having fever. We visited the hospital and the doctor advised CALPAL if fever is more than 101F and MEFTHAL P if more than 101F, and asked us to revisit after 2 days if the fever persisted. The fever has been on and off with medicine. We consulted the doctor again. She prescribed an antibiotic syrup (ZIPRAX 100) and suggested a CBC test. The results are mostly normal, but the platelet count is 1.20 L/mm (I understand the normal range should be 1.5 to 4 L/mm). Today, my daughter is also feeling dull. What should be done?
