Question

I recently had my anti TPO thyroid test done, and the levels are significantly higher than the normal range. I have been taking 50 mcg Thyronorm for my TSH levels for the past 2 years. Additionally, I developed urticaria (skin reaction) 5 months ago, which is still ongoing.

A high Anti TPO means you likely have autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimotos). Its not dangerous if TSH is controlled with Thyronorm. But it may also trigger skin issues like urticaria in some cases. Continue 50 mcg dose unless your TSH shifts.

Dr. Shaik Suggests...

Take a THYROID PROFILE TOTAL (T3, T4, TSH) Test or Take a THYROID PEROXIDASE ANTIBODIES (ANTI MICROSOMAL ANTIBODIES) Test
