I recently underwent dental treatment and took antibiotics during that time. I have also had a semen analysis, which showed 24 to 26 pus cells. Could taking antibiotics have caused the increase in pus cells in my semen?

Pus cells in semen (24 to 26) usually indicate a mild infection or inflammation, not caused by antibiotics. In fact, antibiotics are meant to reduce such infections. If your semen test was done during or soon after antibiotic use, the results may be slightly altered. It is best to repeat the test after a week or two. If pus cells stay high, a doctor might check for a urinary or prostate infection.
