I recently underwent urine analysis and urine culture. The report mentions only commensals grown. Could you please explain what this means? Is my report considered normal? Additionally, I have a wound at the meatus and would like to know if this is related or something I should be concerned about.

Commensal growth means no infection, just normal urinary bacteria. If you have burning or pain due to a wound near the urinary opening, it could be mechanical or fungal. Keep the area clean, avoid friction, and monitor for pus or fever.

I have been experiencing constant urethral pain for the past two months. After consulting a doctor, I underwent a urine flow test, and based on the results, I was prescribed Levoflox and Alfoo for one month, followed by Alfoo alone for another month. Despite completing the medications, the pain has not reduced. Please advise on what can be done to overcome this problem.
