I take 50 mcg/day thyroxine sodium tablets. My recent test report shows T3 1.06 ng/ml (normal range 0.6 to 1.81), T4 9.90 microgram/dL (normal range 3.2 to 12.6), and TSH 8.01 microIU/mL (normal range 0.35 to 5.5). The test was done according to CLIA. Should there be any change in the dose of thyroxine?

TSH above 5.5 indicates under treatment. You may need dose increase. Please confirm with Free T3, Free T4, and discuss with your endocrinologist.

View allI was diagnosed with a thyroid problem before my pregnancy. I was on medication throughout that period, taking Thyronorm 12.5 mcg. Post-delivery, my blood report showed that my TSH was normal, so I stopped the medicine. Now I checked again, and it shows that my TSH is 6.34. Please advise whether I should continue the same medicine at the same dosage?

Lab report 22 Oct shows T3 is 1.99, T4 is 10.75, and TSH is 5.74. Can we proceed for pregnancy or do we need to cure thyroid first before pregnancy? Please prescribe medication. Is any other test necessary before pregnancy?

My mother has been a hypothyroidism patient for the past 5 years. Her latest test report from Thyrocare shows a very low TSH value, while T3 and T4 levels are within the normal range. Before consulting any specialist, I would like to understand the details of her case, confirm the diagnosis, and know if any additional tests or special investigations are required.
