I was diagnosed with typhoid and admitted to a hospital for two days, but I did not experience any typical symptoms of typhoid apart from a mild fever that lasted for one week. My Widal test report showed Typhoid H and S at 1:80. Could this mean I was truly suffering from typhoid?

A Widal titre of 1:80 is not confirmatory for typhoid. It may indicate past exposure. If symptoms were mild and improved, it may have been viral.

My Widal test report shows: S. Typhi O is 1:160 S. Typhi H is 1:80 S. Paratyphi AH is less than 1:20 (negative) S. Paratyphi BH is less than 1:20 (negative) I am taking antibiotics four times a day and following a light diet. I currently have no fever. How long will it take for me to recover completely?

Sir, I have been experiencing fever, productive cough, headache, and general weakness. I recently underwent a Widal test and a urine test. The results are as follows: Widal Test: S. Typhi O: 1:160 S. Typhi H: 1:80 S. Typhi A: 1:20 S. Typhi B: 1:20 Urine Report: Pus cells: 12 to 15 RBC: 0 to 1 Epithelial cells: 4 to 5 Protein: Traces Sugar : Nil Crystals: Nil I also had a Rapid Antigen test for COVID, which was negative.
