Kindly explain the results of my Typhidot IgG and IgM tests by ELISA. The values are Typhidot IgG is 0.19 and Typhidot IgM is 0.31. Do these values indicate typhoid fever or not?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Your Typhidot IgG (0.19) and IgM (0.31) values are low and fall below the positive threshold. This suggests that you do not currently have an active typhoid infection. If you are having ongoing fever or digestive issues, do consider getting a blood culture done.

Hi. In my Widal test report, S. typhi O is 1:320 and S. typhi H is 1:80. I started having fever on 6th November. After one week, I vomited three times a day and had loose motions, so I took two drips a day and medicines to stop the loose motions and vomiting. My blood pressure also went down to 80 by 60. Since 13th November until now, I have had loose motions and slight fever. I also experience stomach pain and bloating. I feel tired almost all day long. Is it typhoid or something else?

I have done a Widal test, and the results are positive: S. Typhi O is 1:160 and S. Typhi H is 1:80. I am not having any fever at the moment. Are these values considered high, medium, or low? How long will it take to recover, and could you please suggest any appropriate treatment or medicines?
