Madam/sir I missed my periods on 26th October. I took a test on 27th October beta hcg blood test that was negative and after 3 days I again took a test on 30th October that was positive 27.01. My question is I read online that one time beta hcg test is enough to detect pregnancy after missed periods. Why in my case it took 4 more days after missed periods? I got really worried?

Yes, one Beta HCG test after a missed period is usually enough but not always. In some women, HCG rises slowly, especially in early pregnancy. Your first test (on Day 1 of missed period) may have been too early to detect. By Day 4 (Oct 30), HCG reached 27 confirming pregnancy.

A week ago, I took Meprate, and I experienced severe cramps with dark blood clots, but the bleeding is not heavy. My home pregnancy test came back negative. Could I still be pregnant?

I have PCOD but usually have regular periods. My last period was on 4th, and I took a pregnancy test which came out positive. It has now been 1 month and 1 week. Should I take any special precautions because of my PCOD? I am not currently on any medication.

In a pregnancy test, there is one dark red line and one very faint line. Does this mean she is actually pregnant? If she is pregnant and we are not planning to have a child right now, what steps should we take?
