My 30 year old husband has a fever of 101F. His blood test shows a WBC count of 16,000, and he also has a cough.

Fever, cough and high WBC means infection. Cause (viral/bacterial) needs confirmation. Avoid antibiotics without doctor advice. Do CBC, CRP, Chest Xray. Give fluids, rest, paracetamol. See doctor if symptoms worsen.
Dr. Yusuf Suggests...
Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test
