My 5 year daughter has premature white hair around 30. Her B12 test report is 890. Doctor prescribed placentrex gel, octomop tablet two times a week and B complex with vitamin C syrup. I am very worried as her B12 is already high. My husband also had premature white hair in school. Kindly suggest. Should I stop medication? Is any other test required? How to stop white hair?

A B12 level of 890 is not toxic, but if no deficiency symptoms are present, supplementation may be paused. Genetics could be involved. Consider a thyroid and iron panel for further assessment.
Dr. Bhanu Suggests...
Take a TSH Test (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Test or Take a Ferritin Test Test
