My baby has a fever of 102.8 degrees F. The doctor said it is very serious and advised immediate hospital admission. Please advise what I should do?

A fever this high in a baby can be serious. If the doctor suggested hospital admission, it is best to follow that advice. Children can deteriorate quickly and early treatment in hospital helps control infection and dehydration.
