My daughter is 5 years old. Her Widal test report shows S. Typhi O 1:60 (Positive), S. Typhi H 1:80 (Positive), S. Para Typhi AH 1:20 (Negative), and S. Para Typhi BH 1:20 (Negative). Is this typhoid high, medium, or low? Are there any common medicines she should take? Should we change her food and water habits?

This is a low positive Widal. In isolation, its not diagnostic. If symptomatic, a blood culture is more reliable.Consider getting a CBC, Blood culture and Typhoid IgM test.
Dr. Bhanu Suggests...
Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a Typhidot Test Test

My mother blood report shows S. Typhi antigen O 1:160 and S. Typhi antigen H 1:160. The doctor has prescribed Opox CV 200 for 15 days. She has become very weak. Should we admit her to the hospital or wait for the Opox CV to work? Should the medicine be changed?
