My father has been suffering from fever since 26 February. Medication was started, which I mentioned above, but there is no relief. Then I consulted a pulmonary doctor who told me it is an infection after seeing the X ray. One more thing, the blood test report is normal except hemoglobin, which is 11. No typhoid or malaria was diagnosed. What should I do? Kindly guide me.

Chronic low grade fever without diagnosis requires a detailed evaluation. Please take a TB Gold test, chest CT scan, and repeat CBC to rule out latent infections like TB or inflammatory disease.
Dr. Ezhilarasan Suggests...
Take a TB Gold Test Test or Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test

View allWe noticed a lump on the left side of my wife neck (age 25, 45 kg, 5.2). At that time, the lump was about the size of a small lemon. We immediately consulted an MD in Internal Medicine, who recommended FNAC and blood tests. The report showed Granulomatous Lymphadenitis with no malignant cells, and her ESR was 15. She experienced mild weakness and slightly elevated body temperature for the first two weeks, but now she feels fine. We have completed a 7 day course of antibiotics, but the lump has not decreased in size. What can be done to reduce the lump?

I am suffering from pleurisy tuberculosis and have been on DOTS for the last 3 months. Yesterday I did a USG thorax to check improvement which shows a 48 by 24 mm sized area of organized loculated pleural effusion with thick septa and pleural thickening at the right costophrenic angle. Is there any improvement in my report or is it something serious? I am still having mild fever of 99.3?
