What other tests should be done? Is this condition dangerous as the D Dimer is very high along with elevated platelets, SGOT, and SGPT? Last month, his platelets were 2.72 lacs.

My 8 month old niece has had a persistent fever for the past 2 weeks. It normalizes when given antipyretics but recurs every 8 to 10 hours. She has a normal diet but sometimes skips meals. She has also vomited 2 to 3 times. A blood test report showed a high lymphocyte count of 58. She traveled about 400 km last week, although comfortably. Could this affect her condition? My father recovered from COVID about 45 days ago. He was hospitalized from April 9th to 16th. In his recent blood report, the CD4/CD8 ratio appears to be low. Could you please help me understand what this means.

A low CD4/CD8 ratio can be seen after COVID 19 and may take time to normalise. If there are no symptoms and he is recovering well, this usually is not a concern. Just keep monitoring.
