Hi, I am 5 months pregnant with my first baby. In my recent blood test, my platelet count has risen to 700,000, and my WBC is 11,200, which seems high. My doctor has advised me to do PT, APTT, INR, and Hb electrophoresis and to consult a hematologist. This is the first time my platelet count has been elevated, my last report was completely normal. Could this change be related to pregnancy? I am unsure how to proceed and would like guidance, as all my other reports are normal.

Elevated platelets and WBC during pregnancy can be due to reactive causes like inflammation or infection. Tests like PT, APTT, and HB electrophoresis help rule out clotting or hemoglobin issues. Consult the hematologist as advised.

Could you check the attached reports and let me know whether it is a normal viral or bacterial infection or any other issue?
