My father tested COVID 19 positive on 26 July (sample taken on 23 July). After home isolation and treatment, he was retested on 12 August, and the report came today (13 August). The interpretation says 2019 nCoV negative, but I am confused about the MS2 gene detected part. Is he still contagious? Does he need to continue home isolation for a few more days?

MS2 gene detected refers to internal control, not COVID positivity. It is done to ensure accuracy by detecting any technical failures. Since COVID gene is negative, he is not contagious and no further isolation is needed if symptoms have resolved.

View allI am having rashes on my skin, mainly on the neck, thighs, and underarms. I do not have fever, cold, cough, or any other symptom of COVID. Can skin rashes be the only symptom, and should I test for COVID? I already had COVID 6 months ago. It was mild, and I was isolated at home. Please let me know if you have an answer to the above query. Thanks in advance.

I developed a dry cough on 13 May and had a fever of 100.1F on 14 May, which continued on 15 and 16 May. I took paracetamol 650 mg every 6 hours, but the fever kept returning. On 17 May, I had no fever, but on 18 May, I again had a fever of 100.1F in the evening. On 19 May, I had no fever. I have been taking Muceder 600 and using an inhaler twice a day. Are these medicines suitable for a COVID patient? I got an RTPCR test on 16 May, and my report came on 19 May. How should I count my COVID infection days or isolation period? I do not have a sore throat, and I can still smell, taste, and feel hungry
