My friend has had a fever for the last 3 days, along with headache and joint pain. He consulted a doctor, who prescribed some medication for the fever and suggested tests. His Dengue IgG and IgM tests came back negative, but the Dengue NS1 test is positive. What does this mean? How serious is it, and can dengue be treated effectively at this early stage? Please provide guidance as soon as possible.

A positive Dengue NS1 test confirms early dengue infection (first 5 days). IgG and IgM may still be negative because antibodies form after Day 5. Early diagnosis is good, treatment at this stage helps avoid complications. Key is to monitor fever, platelets, and hydration closely.

Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a LFT (Liver Function) Test Test
