My husband RTPCR test report came today, and he is COVID 19 positive but asymptomatic. Could you please advise what the next steps should be? Should any medication be given, or are there other precautions we need to follow?

No treatment is needed unless symptoms develop. Isolate for at least 5 to 7 days. Monitor oxygen saturation. Take a repeat COVID test after day 7.

View allMy father tested COVID 19 positive on 26 July (sample taken on 23 July). After home isolation and treatment, he was retested on 12 August, and the report came today (13 August). The interpretation says 2019 nCoV negative, but I am confused about the MS2 gene detected part. Is he still contagious? Does he need to continue home isolation for a few more days?
