My little girl is 2 and almost 11 months and just a couple of days ago, she came down with a fever. We got a urine routine test done and the results mentioned that ketones were present at 50.0 mgdl and pus cells are at 10-15 WBCHPF. I'm really worried about the ketones; are they something dangerous? What should I be aware of or do next?

Pre-Pregnancy Concerns and Symptoms
Pregnancy Possibility
- Low risk, but possible: While the risk of pregnancy from non-penetrative sexual activity is low, it's not impossible, especially if there was pre-ejaculation or ejaculation near the vaginal opening.
- Pre-ejaculation fluid can contain sperm: Pre-ejaculation fluid can contain sperm, which can potentially fertilize an egg.
Symptoms and Early Signs of Pregnancy
- Common symptoms: Burps (gas), constipation, nipple pain, and pimple formation can be early signs of pregnancy, but they can also be caused by other factors, such as hormonal changes, stress, or digestive issues.
- Not conclusive evidence: These symptoms alone do not confirm pregnancy.
Next Steps
- Take a pregnancy test: Wait until after your expected period (around 4-5 days after your missed period) and take a home pregnancy test (HPT) or visit a healthcare provider for a blood test.
- Consult a healthcare provider: If you're concerned about pregnancy or experiencing symptoms, consult a healthcare provider for guidance and support.

View allMy 26-month-old son's penis head balloons when he pees but urine flows continuously without breaks. The ballooning only lasts about 10 seconds while he's urinating. He doesn't seem to be in pain or straining. Our pediatrician suggested circumcision, but due to our religious beliefs, our family is against it. We're really worried the doctor also mentioned trying to gently pull back the foreskin with oil or becnovet cream. My wife and I are stressed, especially since I had tight foreskin too as a teen and remember how uncomfortable it was. Is this ballooning a serious issue? We really want to avoid surgery if possible.

I'm trying to understand my daughter's situation better. Her platelet count was 2.55 lakh on the 22nd of September. Today it dropped to 1.85 lakh, though her fever's reduced, and she's still on medication. Is her platelet count within normal range? Could you explain what this means for her health?
A normal platelet count ranges from 1.5 to 4.5 lakhs per microliter (L); your daughter's current platelet count of 1.85 lakhs is within the lower normal range, which is a good sign, especially since her fever has subsided; however, it's essential to continue monitoring her platelet count and overall health under the guidance of her healthcare provider to ensure the underlying condition is being effectively managed.

My 3-year-old has had a fever, cough, and cold since last Saturday, and I've been giving him Crocin, Augmentin DDS, and Amrox Junior. But he still seems to have the same symptoms. I'm really worried and not sure what else to do. Can you suggest any changes or next steps?
Cold is caused by a virus. Antibiotics will not help.
