My recent blood report shows HDL 30 and LDL 240. Is this alarming? I have started a proper diet to increase HDL and reduce LDL from a week. How effective is this in improving my cholesterol levels, and what more should I do?

LDL is very high and HDL is low. Diet, exercise, and omega 3 can help. If no change in 3 months, lipid lowering medicine may be needed.

View allI am having frequent urination. Sometime back, there was itching on my arms and redness, which gets relieved automatically after 1 to 2 hours. My HDL cholesterol is 27.7 mg/dl, LDL/HDL ratio is 3.6, and serum albumin is 4.84 g/dl. The rest of the parameters are in the attached picture.

Sir, my LDL is 100, HDL 35, and total cholesterol around 132 (I have lost the report). Are these values healthy, or should I be concerned about them? Please advise.

I am a 39 year old teacher working in a school. My lipid profile test results are: triglycerides 194, total cholesterol 209, LDL cholesterol 131, HDL cholesterol 39, VLDL 39, total cholesterol/HDL cholesterol ratio 5.36, and LDL cholesterol/HDL cholesterol ratio 3.36. Are my lipid profile test results normal or abnormal? If they are abnormal, what precautions should I take? Do I need to change my diet and avoid oily foods? Please suggest. Thank you. Regards, Minhaj
