My son had a severe allergic reaction after taking medicine for sudden pain in his leg joints. He developed red, painful dots all over his legs, resembling severe mosquito bites, but without any purple spots. The doctor initially suggested the possibility of vasculitis, but his blood report, including a rheumatoid factor of 8.5, came back negative. I am unsure about the cause of this reaction. Some doctors advise that it will resolve on its own, as additional medications seem to worsen the condition. Please guide me on what steps to take next.

If symptoms are mild and improving, this could be a self limiting allergic reaction. Vasculitis seems unlikely given normal blood tests. Monitor symptoms and avoid further triggers. Rheumatoid Factor ranges are normal, the doctor would suggest antihistamines.

View allI am Chaithra, and I have been suffering from severe pain in my uterine region due to an infection for the past 3 weeks. For the last week, I have been unable to walk or sit properly. I consulted a gynecologist a week ago (prescription and blood report attached), but the medication did not seem to work, and I have not experienced any relief after completing the course. I am seeking a second opinion. Thank you in advance.

Dear doctor, if typhoid is positive in the lab report, is hospital admission required, or can I take antibiotic injections in the morning and evening on a day care basis like a general OP patient? Please advise. If admission and IV fluids are required, how many days will it take to cure?
