My 30 year old husband has a fever of 101F. His blood test shows a WBC count of 16,000, and he also has a cough.

Fever, cough and high WBC means infection. Cause (viral/bacterial) needs confirmation. Avoid antibiotics without doctor advice. Do CBC, CRP, Chest Xray. Give fluids, rest, paracetamol. See doctor if symptoms worsen.

View allMy RBC count is very high according to my blood report, 8.5 million/cumm. I have not noticed any symptoms yet. Is this a serious problem? Does it require a bone marrow biopsy, or does it indicate low oxygen levels?

Hi Doctor. I have had a fever for the last three days, especially at night, with a temperature of 102 degrees F, chills, and headache. My lab report shows neutrophils 80 percent, lymphocytes 16 percent, and WBC indicates neutrophilia. Widal test is 1:160 for both TH and TO. COVID test is negative. The doctor prescribed Paracetamol and Cefamid 200, but there has been no improvement.
