Sir, my grandmother blood report shows a high number of WBCs, up to 17,000? She also has a fever all the time? Kindly suggest which specialist we should approach in this case? Thank you.

Persistent leukocytosis with fever suggests bacterial infection or possibly hematological malignancy. Please consult a Hematologist and take Blood Culture, CBC with Peripheral Smear.
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a PERIPHERAL SMEAR Test or Take a CULTURE AND SENSITIVITY - AEROBIC (BLOOD) Test

She has been experiencing frequent episodes of fever, cold, cough, and abdominal pain over the past two months. Currently, her breathing is very noisy. I would like to understand what all this inflammation means and whether it indicates a serious condition.

My report states evidence of a well defined anterior wall defect of approximately 20 mm seen at supra umbilical region with herniation of bowel loops. Is this dangerous? As I am having fever for a few days now and stomach discomfort too. Should I go for surgery? Is it safe?
